Define how AI should write your proposals.
Describe your preferred proposal style:
  • Tone - friendly, confident, expert, etc.
  • Structure - format and organization
  • Focus areas - client’s needs, skills, results, etc.
Vollna uses this guidance to generate personalized Upwork proposals that match your style.
Use “Generate instructions” button to automatically create a prompt based on your Upwork profile. This analyzes your profile, skills, and experience to generate tailored instructions.
If you already have a prompt, generating new instructions will replace your current prompt. You’ll be asked to confirm before replacing.

Additional Context

Optional. Enable this toggle to provide extra information about yourself. Include:
  • Your background and experience
  • Achievements and portfolio links
  • GitHub, LinkedIn, or other profiles
  • Any other information that helps AI create more personalized proposals
When enabled, this information is included in the AI’s context when generating proposals.

Client Questions

Optional. Configure how AI should answer client questions during the proposal process. Prompt
Set general guidelines for answering questions:
  • Be direct and professional
  • Focus on relevant experience
  • Keep answers concise but informative
  • Explain your process when asked

Targeted Answers

Create specific answers for common questions. Each answer can match questions using:
  • Exact Match - Question must match exactly
  • Contains - Question contains the text
  • StartsWith - Question starts with the text
When a client question matches your targeted answer, AI uses your specific response. Otherwise, AI uses the general prompt guidelines.

Template Structure

Optional. Define a specific template structure that AI should follow when writing cover letters. When enabled, you can:
  • Combine static text with AI-generated parts
  • Control the exact format and content
  • Enable A/B testing to compare two template versions

Testing Your Prompt

Use the “Preview jobs” button to test your AI instructions with real job postings. This helps you:
  • See how AI generates proposals
  • Iterate on your prompts faster
  • Check how it handles specific job requirements
The preview panel shows jobs from your filters or search results. Click any job to see how AI would generate a proposal with your current settings.
